transhumanisticpanspermia:

honestly that was one of the best homestuck flashes ever JUST because of the death revelation

like, that really rounds out the sburb death mechanics and places sburb firmly in the “creating mass quantities of ghosts of dead kids for an agenda” category

before, the creation of ghosts seemed incidental to the way time works in paradox space

but now, it seems to be an intended consequence of the many death-revival mechanics provided within sburb (the kiss, ascension, god tier revival, prototyping, some classpect [life, doom] powers, etc)

the game is generating large quantities of ghosts of its players for some sort of purpose

and, of course, if the players knew this they’d be even more horrified about the process than they already are

it’s really the first downright sinister mechanic we’ve seen out of sburb, and really rounds out its ethically and morally ambiguous nature
